Sick Day

Today is one of those days where you wake up and just go
"Nope. No way. I am not getting out of bed."
Don't take that the wrong way, I'm not staying home cause I feel like it, I'm actually sick, haha.

Everyone has a sick day routine. Some make a hot cup of tea, or some chicken soup and curl up to watch The Price is Right or something like that.
My routine basically goes like this:

7am- wake up, take a shower
realize you feel like a freshly mauled corpse.

7:30am- tell mom you are not going to school, and that attempts to make you do otherwise are futile. Someone is handing you pills. You take them, not really caring what they are, as long as you feel better afterwards. There's like 11 capsules on the counter but eventually things get sorted out.

8am-have a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch and do the only vaguely productive thing all day; start my homework that was due last week.

8:17am- realize that the Cinnamon Toast Crunch is gone and that I want more. Bribe someone to bring me more.

9am- pick a movie to watch. Criteria: must either be Disney, a musical, or a horror. Right now it's Nightmare on Elm Street and later it'll be Tangled.

10:15am- get sick again. Lie down, curl up with the computer again, and decide to blog. HOORAY

11am- realize that since you started writing this post, 45 minutes have passed and you've written barely anything. You are a failure, even at staying home.

11:30am- start looking for more movies, since you're bored and Nightmare (the remake, too) wasn't enough for the day. realized that while you were watching League of Extraordinary Gentlemen you accidentally did...well, whatever that was that caused you to hold down the ' button.

12pm- come to terms with how disappointed you are in Netflix for NOT HAVING ANY FREAKING DISNEY MOVIES available right now

12:30pm- scavenge for food and ginger ale. Wanna cry a little bit at how much work you're going to have to do this week and how fast the production is coming up. For those of you who don't know, I'm in my school's production of Grease this year, and we perform in less than a month. GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

I'm super excited, but also scared sh- witless.

1pm- sleep. then Nutella.

P.S. I'm not quite sure what comes after this, all I know is that I have to go to rehearsal tonight regardless. EW.

Goodbye my lovelies :)

Hi, I'm here to brush the cobwebs off this thing.

You're probably a little fed up with me at this point.
I mean, all I do is promise that I'll post this and that, and that I'll be better about actually blogging once in a while, but in the meantime I just look lazy because I haven't accomplished a single thing (blog-wise, that is).

The truth is... I always get kind of scared by my own absence, as I may have mentioned before, because I'm not sure how warm my welcome back to the internet will be. Everytime it's longer and longer in between posts. And to be completely honest, I'm not even sure how many people read this anymore. If you do though, you are AWESOME.

I've been in Italy for the past 11 days, and then in bed for another 2, haha. I'm pretty jetlagged right now, going to bed at 7:30 sharp (not voluntarily) and waking up anywhere from 2:30 am to 5 am. So I think it goes without saying that I'm a little mixed up this week, hahaha :)

I am so amazed that I had the opportunity to go to Rome, Pompeii, Florence, Venice, Verona and Milan surrounded by friends and eating like 6 gelato a day. I saw so many incredible sights that it almost feels like a dream. I'm so happy that I went, and although I sorely missed all my loved ones near the end there, it was a completely mind-blowing experience and it was probably one of the best experiences of my life.

So nerds, if you're still along for the ride, there really is more coming and I'm so grateful to you that you're sticking around. If you're not, well...thanks for playing along and you will be missed.

LET'S GET THIS FREAKSHOW ON THE ROAD! :)

Hello, friends.

Hello.

I'm reconsidering this blog. The thing is, I'm not sure if I'm giving you guys what you want. I'm not saying I'm giving up or anything, because I don't quit that easily, I'm just reconsidering it at the moment.
In the meantime, I'm typing up the Mexico Diaries and I think I'll include some pictures. Might make it a tad more sensible. I really hope you guys enjoy them, there are a few funny stories in there and lots of adventure.
Speaking of pictures, I'm thinking of making this a bit more illustrated, a blog more in the style of Hyperbole and a Half. What do you think? You know, I take your opinions very seriously. They are essentially what keeps me going here. So thank you for every response, or really thank you for every time you read a post. I really appreciate it.

I have a few new projects going on since the last time we talked; as you know I am now involved in yet ANOTHER YouTube collaborative channel, and I've started up writing music again with my good friend Tammy (Wednesday).
I am so ridiculously lucky to know so many talented people and Tammy is one of the most talented. We literally spend the night talking on Skype, I have a notepad and she has a guitar. And we just go for it. It's amazing to just sit down and dive right into it.

You can expect to hear a lot about it soon, I hope, I'm rather excited for us to be putting our work out there.

Be well, take your vitamins, dance around in your pyjamas and enjoy the rest of your days. See you soon, my lovelies. :)
