The Mexico Diaries

Hello my lovelies, I have a couple of things to cover:

I just got back from Mexico and will have a series of diary-like posts up sometime around New Year's, transcribed from the messy and rather abused journal I brought with me on vacation.
Perhaps I will even add my lovely illustrations, if you guys are really interested.

Mostly I'm just posting the Mexico Diaries (sounds like a bad movie title, doesn't it? You're welcome) because I thought you might like to hear some funny stories from the trip, a little bit because I love it when Kristina Horner posts stories about her travels, and mostly just because Tammy really wants me to. I swear, without her and Marcela I would probably forget to post as much as I do. Thanks, ladies.

That is actually an excellent segue into my next 'thing to cover': yet ANOTHER YouTube channel. I'm sorry.

I'm actually not completely sure how I ended up being involved in this, but here I am. I have been recruited into another 5-day vlog channel. For those of you who are fortunate enough never to have seen my videos on 5awesome5AGfans, I used to be a Monday. I kinda liked Mondays. Now I'm a Friday WHICH I LIKE JUST AS MUCH. Except for the fact that I do actually post when it is agreed that we post...

No matter! We're figuring it out, and our channel is called 7MintsAtATime. If you want to know where the name comes from, you'll find out very soon if you subscribe to see future videos =]

Marcela- Monday
Robyn- Tuesday
Tammy- Wednesday
Alex- Thursday
Caro- Friday

We just do fun vlogs and stuff. I'm really excited to be working with these gals, as I get to see them everyday but don't get to spend as much time with as I'd like to.

So, you can go check us out on my "Tubes" page, and stay tuned for the Mexico Diaries! I hope all of you are having a lovely Christmas (or just a lovely winter break if you don't celebrate Christmas) and remember that I love hearing from all of you, so don't be shy.

Stay excellent.

Ignore the tumbleweeds rolling by... I'M BACK

You guys... I have a confession to make.

Every single time I open blogspot I freak out because I do that thing. You know what thing I'm talking about. That thing where I put something off (like blogging) for so long because I honestly have very little free time, and when I finally DO have time to blog I feel so guilty about it that I don't blog because I am filled with shame.

In this situation, you can handle it in one of three ways:

1. Pretend you were there the whole time, and there was just an error with publishing the post
2. Act nonchalant about it and make it seem like you're too cool to be blogging
3. Apologize for your absence in a pathetic and undignified way, such as a blog post

In any case, I'm part of a legit business now and I'm working on designing that website and creating the products and shamelessly promoting it, so that's the reason I haven't been present on this lonely lonely blog.

NEWSY NEWS TIME

In approximately 6 hours I will be on the plane to Mexico! I am bringing a journal with me to record all the fun little things that happen while I'm away, since I'm not bringing any kind of technology with me besides a cameraaah. :)

Can you just imagine, a full week without anybody bothering me! It's paradise! It also help that over there it's about 26 degrees celsius and where I am it's about -19 degrees celsius.

Bliss.

I'll see you lovelies soon, and in the meantime enjoy yourselves! New post up (FOR REALS THIS TIME) by Friday next week.

Buckbeak, please don't chew on the placemats.

SICK BLOG, BAH DE BAH.
I'm rewatching The Black Cauldron because I'm feeling awful and I can't sleep.

One of the good things about being sick is that between sleeping and general sickly activities, I have a bit of extra time to work on my NaNoWriMo novel. I'm quite behind since I started so late, but I'm making good progress every day and I am absolutely determined to reach the goal of 50,000 words by November 30.

And hey, if I don't reach the goal, I'll have an excellent start on a novel I'd like to finish one day. All it means is that I have a giant step in the right direction. Or should I say the 'write' direction...

Note: Please excuse the horrible pun used above.

In other news, there is a hippogriff on my dining room table. Yes, a hippogriff. My family is hosting a Harry Potter party this weekend, so I have lots of preparations to make. There are pygmy puffs being crocheted, chocolate frogs being made, butterbeer recipes being googled, and plenty of nerdy mail-ordered paraphernalia that needs to be put up.

Not gonna lie, there's a lot of stuff that we own already that's being displayed. I'm just really nervous about my Marauder's Map sitting out... it's a heart attack waiting to happen.

Soooo on that somewhat shameful note, I'm gonna go. I have a lot of writing to do.

P.S. 8 days and 10 hours until HP7 comes out! WOOOO.

I lost the game.

I really don't have a lot to say here, other than my lovely friend Justine just had a birthday, and just started a wonderfully hilarious blog which you can find here.

In other news, I lost the game.

That's about all I have for you right now.

P.S. If you want to see Halloween-ish stuff you can watch this vlog I put up, and here are pictures of my Misty costume:

Happy November, kids!

"You can be Paprika, because you're foreign."

I'm going to use the funny things my friends say about me as titles from now on. Just letting ya know.

NaNoWriMo is completely kicking my butt. I have 438/50,000 words at the moment but I decided since my weeks are a little unpredictable, instead of setting a daily goal I'm going to shoot for 11,200 words a week. That means I have to write 10,762 words by Sunday.

At least this way it's easier for me to catch up on writing if I couldn't one one particular day. To tell you the truth, I wasn't 100% sure if I still wanted to do it on Tuesday afternoon. That was already November 2nd!!!

Anyways, I'm somehow managing to vlog at least once every couple weeks, putting up regular blog posts AND finishing all my schoolwork. I'll admit it, though... the only way I stay awake for my afternoon classes is if I keep Pepsi cans in my locker. Yeesh.

Speaking of Pepsi, I still can't tell the difference between Coke and Pepsi. I'M SORRY BUT THEY TASTE THE SAME TO ME. I'm not crazy, am I?!

Actually, don't answer that.

You see this?

This is my Ravenclaw hat. It just arrived in the mail along with a plethora of nerdy Harry Potter items.
This is SO EXCITING I can't even describe it. And there's a very special pair of Radish earrings and a Butterbeer-cork necklace coming as well. YOU GUYS.

I hope you all have a wonderful week, and if you're brave enough to be participating in NaNoWriMo too then add me as a buddy over here.

I'll see all you beautiful people again next week.

"It's been a week, BLOG ALREADY"

I think maybe I'll start quoting my friends, every time they remind me to hurry up and blog.
----

Okay, this post comes to you in three parts.

Part one: Boys. Good Lord.

You know how someone will ask you what you want for dinner, and you tell them it doesn't matter to you. So they suggest something like Mexican food.

"Nah, not feeling El Mexican tonight."

"Okaaay... what about spaghetti?"

"No, not that either..."

"WHY DON'T YOU JUST TELL ME WHAT YOU WANT TO EAT."

You don't really feel like any kind of food they suggest but you have no idea what you want. You don't want any particular type of food, but you have to eat dinner sometime.

I kind of want a boyfriend, but I don't have the time, patience or mental capacity to be a decent girlfriend right now. Also, three of my best guy friends have asked me out. And it's kind of nerve-wracking.

Gaaah.

Part two: Pokémon

I am officially on Season Two! YAY.

I have decided my favourite is Eevee, because it's completely freaking adorable and also you can evolve it depending on what type of Pokémon you need. For example, if you needed more water Pokémon, you could just evolve it into Vaporeon.

Tammy and I were talking about the show and decided that we're going to watch all the movies the next time we hang out... which might be very, very soon because Tammy and Lydia will be my buddies for trick-or-treating. Which brings me to the last part of this post...

Part three: HALLOWEEN!

For our school Halloween thing I decided I would be Misty. Yes, the Pokémon trainer from the good old days, before May and Dawn stole the show. Sigh.

So you can expect some pictures, or at least a vlog, about our nerd-tastic Halloween adventures and the insane amounts of candy we're going to get.

I know you're probably thinking, 'aren't you a little old to go trick-or-treating?' The answer is NO. In my family, Halloween is a really big deal. We decorate the house with crazy awesome giant spiderwebs and legit-looking graveyards and giant spectres-- even a fog machine.

Halloween is as big as Christmas for us. We go pretty much all out. I've even provided costumes for OTHER people from the tons of plastic bins filled with costume makeup, wigs, masks and full costumes.

I think I'll have to show you my basement for you to understand truly how much wonderful crap we have down there.

P.S. I'm posting this at a ridiculous hour because I am nocturnal. Please excuse everything that seemed funny that I wrote when it really isn't.
Good Morning!

The Demons of Breakfast Food

I’m sorry, this one’s a rant. I just have to get it out of my system.
Mini Wheats are the demons of breakfast food.
It’s not even the mini-Pop Tart-soaked-in-milk taste that makes me hate them. It’s the commercials.
Whenever a Mini Wheats commercial comes on I dive for the remote because I just can’t handle the little dancing squares yelling at me to buy the cereal because it’s SO FREAKING GREAT IT JUST HAS TO BE BROADCASTED IN EVERY POSSIBLE WAY EVER!!!! :D
I don’t even mind the ridiculously enthusiastic people in the background or the awful music (miniminiminiminiiiiwheats!) it’s just the way they attack you with colour and sparkles to make you love them.
It’s like being molested by your breakfast, or like the Kellogg’s rooster came to your house and personally scratched your eyes out.

Nobody wants to start the day like that.
P.S. What are your least favourite cereals?

It's been awhile

Drama.

The subject; I love it. I pretty much live for performing, so naturally I love being graded on performing. Yes, you could call me the extreme geek. That's fine by me.

The drama in and around my group of friends; well that absolutely sucks. I think tomorrow will be the day I take action and take myself out of it, and hopefully solve a little bit of it.

I'm not going to give you the full run-down of what's happening, because first of all I'm sure it would bore you all to pieces and secondly I'm not entirely sure how this happened myself.

Basically, every single one of my female friends has some sort of issue with another. Personally, I'm sick of it and I'm not sure how I'm somehow a part of it. I don't have an issue with anybody!

Well, I suppose that's not true. I have an issue with them being selfish and petty about their arguments and being cruel to some of their best friends just because they think someone said something about somebody else.

I guess I've been kind of weird lately...

I've been somewhat antisocial, but mostly because my personality is changing quite a bit and I'm kind of scared but thrilled by it.

I'm much happier this way- I realized I've been trying so hard to make other people happy that I've forgotten to make sure that I'm happy. I'm not saying that it's all about me, but I should consider what I feel when I'm making a decision,

So I've been immersing myself in music, and watching lots and lots of Pokémon.

-------

I've been editing quite a bit but I am pretty unmotivated to work very hard on them... school is hard at the moment and even though it's only October we've already started a lot and I'm super busy.

I know TRS is trying our best to get stuff done, and I'm writing posts whenever I get inspiration but I just want to apologize for taking so long.

New post soon!!

newsy news (blabber)

Hello darlings,

Marcela complained that I hadn't blogged for over a week. -sigh- I'm sorry. I'm here now!

NEWS!

Part one- Next week I will be going to Jasper with my class! Well, it's not really Jasper, it's about an hour outside of Jasper. It's called the Palisades and it's essentially a stewardship program in the wilderness where we learn about different scientific things.

I'm actually bunking with Marcie and a few other cool people, so expect lots of videos of us playing the recorder and making noise.

Part two- I need your help with something, and you can kind of get a preview of what I'm doing in this picture:

No, not the meekakitty part. The cat. On the right. You'll see what I'm doing tomorrow! :D
(It's really not that exciting, I just hope it's a little fun for us. By us I mean you and I.)

Part three- I've been going to Physiotherapy which is fun, because when they put that little electrical packet thingy on my leg I tend to fall asleep. Physio=napping and free candy. What's not to love?

Anyways, I'm at the point where I can walk without crutches now so it's all going really well.

ALRIGHTY THEN! I'll see you guys tomorrow.

Question.

Do you guys like the crappy comic things?

I'll do better ones on Adobe later, I just felt like doing those quick little drawings.

They were made on dA muro in literally 2 minutes. So... don't judge!

Anyways, not really a point to this post other than
1) did you guys like them?
2) I will actually go draw legit pictures. Do not fear.

=) see you in a couple days!

Life freaking happens.

So I finished the fourth season of Skins...
I got my wish, but seriously? I miss all the older people! Sid! Maxxie! Ohhh Maxxie. Geez. Anyways, I'm glad Effy's a big character now, she's fantastic.

The other night was my first night in the new season of dance, and it was all going so well (allow me to demonstrate with hurriedly drawn stick pictures):

I didn't notice at this point that anything was wrong.

Yes, I know, I look like  a creeper. I did this in 5 seconds, okay? In any case I was perfectly unconcerned at this point. Then I went home.
Things started going downhill at this point.
"WHY IS THIS HAPPENING TO ME."

Welp...that's where I am right now. Some torn muscle fibers in my right calf and a lovely pair of wooden crutches.

Other than that, my life is pretty good. We made breakfast-for-dinner complete with AMAZING eggs, bacon and pancakes. Ahhh. It was just perfect.

Question: do any of you guys have blogs? Denis, I know you do, but I would be interested in reading what you guys write. Let me know :)

Hopefully I see you very soon!

"In case I don't see you; good morning, good afternoon and goodnight."

/nerd

YOU KNOW WHAT WAS NUTS? Tony getting hit by a frigging bus right when he was saying he loves Michelle. i completely take back what i said about him moving to China, he's redeemed himself.

And the guys singing "Wild World" at the end? that was brilliant. Cass and Sid are adorable. I kind of hope Effy becomes more of a major character, because I love Kaya Scodelario and there are questions to be answered about her! I also am hoping that maybe there's a non-druggie love interest for her.

I should stop now.

I'm going to take this time to say RIP to those who were affected by 9/11, and a huge message of love to those who lost family or friends on that day.

Anyways, I was watching City of Ember and I was noticing how much it resembles The Hunger Games.

-both have a female heroine
-both heroines have a little sister whose name starts with 'P', and are named after flowers (Primrose, Poppy)
-both heroines have a tall, dark & handsome best friend
-both stories center around tyrannical government and defying it

I don't know, that's about all I remember because I haven't read the books in forever...hm! maybe that's what I'll do today.

Something else I have to do today is try the Nacho Chips flavoured popcorn downstairs. I mean, who has Nacho Chips flavoured snacks that aren't actually chips!

It's something that needs to be done.

I'll put a post-script at the end of this post when I try them. Little scared. But life is about trying new things! So, huzzah, Nacho popcorn.

Skins, the Phone & Giant Slide

*Warning* this post is all over the place because it's late and I am almost immobile and yes, I am feeling just a little sorry for myself. It's been a full week and I'm still not even close to feeling okay. Just deal with it and try not to get annoyed at the scattered thoughts here. Love you!!

I will soon be going into the second season of Skins. OHMYGOSH. It's sooo bad, but so good. It's like british Gossip Girl meets Grey's Anatomy, except with a lot more english curses most of which I don't understand.

It's addictive. I really love Cassie, Effy, Maxxie and Sid and I think Tony should move to China (taking Abby with him) and just stay there forever and ever. He did come through for Effy though, so that's nice.

Earlier tonight a really good friend of mine called me, just to say hi. Of course, with me being ridiculously sick, I answered the phone with a croak.

It was awesome to hear from him because he's one of the very few people I know who I can have a long conversation with and be completely at ease, and because I haven't heard from him since about April and it's great to talk to someone who knows me so well and doesn't expect me to talk very much on account of the sore throat.

It's kind of nice to have someone like that, especially since I'm super awkward on the phone. I will actually put off calling people so I don't have the weird interaction. I talk too fast or jumble my words, or sometimes my Afrikaans will mingle with the English in me and I'll start speaking a jumble of both.

So for once I can actually just talk and it's not awkward, and we can carry on a conversation. It makes me wonder.

Besides that call, the best parts of my week included watching Sword in the Stone, Atlantis and the Black Cauldron while curled up in the foetal position, and the GIANT INFLATABLE SLIDE they put in the gym today.

We took a big chunk out of Period 3 just to go slide on it! I got tangled in the nets and stuff, but it was still pretty good.

Speaking of the Black Cauldron, isn't Eilonwy just adorable? :D

I'm sorry, I should go now...maybe you can expect a sensible post from me soon? I hope so. Maybe I'll do a book review or something.

See you soon!

the ramblings of a madwoman

Hello!

So sorry about the absence, I've been busy with much more important things like re-reading all the books in the Hunger Games series and drawing various things from the books. *dork*

I'm just kidding, nothing's as important as you guys! ;D

I've realized a couple things in the last week. The first is that I don't really like Katniss, for whatever reason. Maybe it's because she can't make up her own darn mind or the fact that she's such a player (pardon the pun).

The second is that I'm really sick. So I decided to blog. Yeaahh.

Lastly, you should never, EVER mix flame throwers and birthday parties. Trust me on this one, guys.

In other (and more interesting) news:

I gave my mom the first two HG books to read, and she is hooked! It's kinda nice when you have a mom you can share shoes and books with.

Also, I might do a Mockingjay review on one of my YT channels, so keep an eye out if you want to see it :)

I think my time is up here, so I'm gonna go feel sorry for myself and sleep some more.

Fire

First of all, let me say a great big thank you to my new readers; especially Denis, Marcela, and...hi mom. :)
You guys are awesome and I'm so happy that you're in my life in one way or another.

And now, for a story from my childhood.

Ever since i was little i've had a fascination with fire. Look at this picture from my 7th birthday, for example:

Look at that. Absolutely riveted by the candles.

I think the first time my dad taught me how to play with fire, I was 6 and a half. he would wave his finger back and forth through the flame and i would just sit there and be perfectly still so i could figure out how exactly he moved his hand without burning himself.

The day I realized it was a matter of speed (not keeping your hand in the fire long enough for it to burn) I started to wave my finger in and out of the flame. It was enthralling to realize that I couldn't burn myself this way.

This is not a good thing for a child to realize because then they assume they are invincible.

Obviously, not true. But possible, no?

So I'd never been very afraid of fire, because I'd never had a real reason to stay away from it. Sure, we had the Fire Safety presentations in elementary and the "STOP DROP & ROLL" courses, but there was never a real threat because it had never happened to us.

Until one night when I was sitting by our fireplace and decided it would be a good idea to dry my hair next to it. Apparently not such a good idea.

I guess I just got too close to the glass and I burnt my hand on it. It wasn't too bad, in fact it was the subject of many jokes in elementary. One of my favourite jokes was where my friends joked it looked like a heart on Valentine's Day, haha.

So I still have the scar, and we still joke about it, but it's really a reminder...
I really have to stop getting so distracted by fiery things.

P.S. Thanks again to my mom for the awesome fish-shaped cake that you made that year. You're still awesome with cake.

Also, I didn't write this for pity or anything, I just thought this was a fun little story. See you tomorrow, nerds!

Friends. (yes, I have those)

Now that September is looming around the corner, I've been thinking about what it's like when you go back to school. Your old friends welcome you back with hugs and comments/tugs on your back-to-school outfits, and the new kids are paraded around like wares at a market for the cliques to claim them.

I've always been the kind of person who floats between the social groups. I know a lot of the popular people, I talk to them, but I always have found better friends in those who sing Disney songs loudly in public and who dress up to go to Harry Potter movies.

I don't always like to identify with just one group of people because that way I have a balance in the kind of things I take part in and the people I talk to.

Think about it, when you're in a group of people you act like they do. Most of the time you reflect the general opinions of the friends you have. So, if you have a large spectrum of friends, you have more opportunities to learn new things and develop new opinions.

On the other hand, the same can be said for bad friends.

If you hang out with someone who is a bad influence, they will change things in your life...

I guess the point of this post is to remember who your friends are and be careful about how much of you they influence, because it could be more than you realize.

Anyways, about September, I am kind of excited because tomorrow I will be doing one of my favourite things in the world; School Supplies Shopping.

It's not the excitement of going back to school that makes me love it, it's the fact that I get a brand new start! I am admittedly not the most organized person. I'm really quite disorganized, so I absolutely love it when I can buy new notebooks and USB Drives and all those wonderful things.

Plus, the stores that I normally go to for my scholarly needs is always full of adorable stationery and headphones with little ducks on them.

Now that I think about it....

School Supplies Shopping is the only reason I want to go back.

Darn.

life

I have yet to read the new Hunger Games book, and I can't wait until I get a chance to go to a bookstore to buy it. No spoilers please!

On a completely unrelated note, It seems like my family has forgotten to eat as of late. I went downstairs and microwaved some dinner and my dad comes to my room and says "hey, something smells good. Did you cook?"

It's not that I expect my parents to cook for me or anything, I know that I am indeed a minor and usually people see that as an obligation, but I am perfectly able and can make a decent meal on my own.

Sometimes when someone say that they will cook, and then they don't so you end up eating at 9:30pm cause everyone forgot, is kind of ridiculous. Seriously, they had Coldstone smoothies for dinner at 5.

Oh yeah, my dad has diabetes and he had to eat so he bought sushi while I bought a birthday card for Miss Hannah ;)

Speaking of illnesses, we lost someone very special yesterday. She was an extraordinary girl who showed all us nerdfighters what it means to be brave. She was so, so brave. The world lost Esther Earl to cancer on August 26th, 2010.

It's so hard to believe that she's really not here anymore. She's with us in the sense that we will remember her, but the fact that she isn't alive is impossible for me to digest right now. It never seems real until it's already happened.

As Esther said, "I'm not always amazing, and I'm not always awesome, and I'm not always strong and I'm not always brave...and you guys should know that."

I think because she posted videos and talked to people, and made them smile was enough. We didn't expect her to be strong or brave all the time. We just wanted to be there with her and support her.

Not a lot of us knew her well at all, but we didn't have to. She was beautiful and she touched so many people. I think the way people will remember her for the rest of their lives is enough to keep her alive forever.

Rest in Awesome, Esther. We love you.

Bon Appetit and all that stuff

About 2 weeks ago I watched Julie & Julia, a charming movie about the life of Julia Child and the woman she inspired to change the way she lived.

Julie Powell was determined to make every recipe in Julia Child's cookbook in one year, and *spoilers* she accomplished her goal. Not to mention this is a true story. Well, two true stories.

So, in a fit of whimsy, I decided to make a Banana Spice pie last week... from scratch!! It had an all-butter crust and syrupy banana filling with spices and a butter crumble overtop. I have to say, it was quite good.

But it made me think about Hayley G Hoover's post a little while ago, in which she talks about never being 'overweight' but still carrying pounds that you don't have to.

Starting today I am going to eat healthy. I have a normal BMI and my weight is proportional to my height, neither one out of range of the other. It's not that I don't eat well and it's not that I'm going on a diet, I just know I can do better.

And that's what I'm going to do.

:)

Apprehension and Numbers

I don't know if this whole blogging thing is working out.

I mean, I don't want to give up on it or anything, but really? I have no idea what to write about.
I love to write, I've been writing since I knew what letters were, and I know people always say "just write what you know"....

But what I know is
1) I am bad at math
2) I have not grown since Christmas, but I am a lovely 5"7
3) I CANNOT WAIT to dance this week (Hi Hannah ;) can't wait to see you either)
4) My new Rogers RocketStick thing is magnificent. I can't download anything though, because you have to pay for data. :P
5) I really hope someone enjoys what I put here, and even if they don't I should start writing for me. then I can post for others.

Yeah?

Love you guys. Have a great week!

Pirate English and the Interwebs

You may or may not be familiar with the Facebook language feature called ‘Pirate English’. It basically transforms your entire Facebook experience into a plunderin’ adventure full of rum and many hearties. Or wenches.
Actually, it really just confuses you for the first week until you get used to the apostrophes and the British-Texan sounding voice in your head that reads the Pirate parts to you.
The great thing about it is that you get to feel like you’re a real life seafaring pirate. There are the coolest alternatives for normal facebook terms. For example, instead of poking someone ye be skewerin’ yer mateys. Isn’t that amazing?!
Facebook refers to me as a wench on me profile. Arrr, how distasteful. But it be adorable.
(you may have to click on the picture to see it). I love it. Ahahahar!
Also, my computer is not very good at stealing Internet from other networks, so what I’m doing is getting a RocketStick (?) and what it does is it gives you a 3G network on your computer so you have Internet wherever you go (like the iPhone and so on).
So I will be able to post more frequently and on a better schedule instead of trying to put up two or more posts quite close together, I can post something new every couple of days or at least once a week.
Wooo!
On that exciting note (exciting for me, anyways) I will leave you. See you soon, darlings! *mwah, mwah!*
;)

PRODUCTIVE!

Can I just say, I’m quite proud of myself.
Now, this isn’t a post to brag about my extreme productiveness, it’s an example of how long it takes me to actually be productive.
All of this stuff I’ve put off for way too long and just recently have had a burst of energy and motivation. The books I unpacked? They've been in my basement for almost a year.
In the last two days I have sorted out all of my important files and accounts on my computer and online, filmed and edited footage for a video (that’s going to be awhile), completely ‘cleansed’ my room- as in, extreme deep-cleaning and organizing, unpacked and organized all my books and computer programs, watched 9 Disney classics and the first season of the British Office.
Oh, and I napped. And tore up a fireplace.

Where has my life gone?

Hello, World

Hello. My name is Caro. That’s not short for anything. it’s just Caro.
I like writing and decided I should tackle a blog of my own...
Some of my influences are bloggers like Allie Brosh and Natalie Dee, as well as YouTubers like Natalie Tran and Kristina Horner.
I am just as awkward in writing as I am in real-life conversations. I’ll be talking to someone and I try to keep the flow going but it never works because they end up laughing nervously and walking away or nodding silently as I scramble to think of something else to say.
So I hope this goes better than real life.
I have some things to establish before I go on writing and consequentially forget to say them:
  • This is the only blog I will actually be updating ( I have another but it gets no traffic since I haven’t told anyone about it and it makes no freaking sense)
  • I do have a Dailybooth account and I usually neglect to take any pictures so don't get your hopes up ;) maybe I'll get back in the habit if people start reading my crazy ramblings.
  • I don’t like spam. Spam makes everyone sad. Don’t do it.
  • You can find me on YouTube here, here and here. I share all of these channels with some of my best friends EVER and only a few videos are just mine. You should check some of them out, they’re not all bad.
  • You can follow me on twitter here.
Also, I love hearing what you have to say. If you have something you’d like me to write about or some suggestions about my blog feel free to let me know! No judgement :)
If you have a blog of your own you think I’d like to read leave me a link. I love reading other people’s work because i believe that’s how we get better at doing what we do.
I hope you like what you read, and I will always respond to comments.
Have a great day!
